Master Thesis Proposal Presentation Example
Birgit Kuester October 11, 2021 Proposal
Hi, I hope everyone is glory again. I wanted to present you all, my Master's Thesis Proposal that I presented earlier today. And this overview a Master’s Thesis Proposal Presentation is exactly what it is you're pretty much present, or provide a general overview of what your proposal was on. So, within the past three months, I've been working on a proposal, but more so two months. So my advice recommended that I should have a proposal done by the end of the semester, being that I already had an idea what I wanted to do. It was intense, you know, you had to read a lot of papers to get your Idea is flowing one. So, I found myself in the beginning just reading countless papers, but not knowing what I'm looking for.
So pretty much the purpose of a presentation is just so that your committee members meet for the first time, and are aware of what you are attempting to do. And if you are doing winter field work, like myself, I'm trying to fly out as soon as possible. But I'm waiting on some gear. So yeah, it kind of get an idea of what they think, of what you're thinking about that makes sense. So, a component of that you're going to get feedback, you're going to get ask questions. And it is assumed that you did enough research about what you're interested in. And what you want to do research on. And some methodology, although they don't expect you to have the sorted out all the way in the beginning. But it's assumed that it's kind of like a qualifying exam, like you really go in, and discuss what you're talking about, or interested in researching. And you just get asked a bunch of questions about what it is that you have researched on. In order to be qualified to even continue and conduct your research, and publish once your job.
So, we chose because it was the only available day. So, one issue about that, you have to find a time, so that all your committee members are available. And sometimes, they don't coincide it at all, but luckily for me, it did, they did. And let's get into it.
Example
So, welcome to my Master's Thesis Proposal, guys. Thank you for being here, and I guess this presentation is going to serve our needs, to just provide a general review of the limited proposal. So for the working title for now. We've chosen "Trees for Health, A Comparative Analysis of Community Development Through Agroforestry." And the outline for today, we're going to start with a bit of opening statement, and get into the background information, then the components of the study, and I end up with some expected outcome.
So, first, which is a funding source. So far are from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which caused me to study here for the next five years and that's should be a great experience. Okay, and I want to start off with this image right here. This is me four years old, so that's just me. And this is me again, in the next 20 years. Here I am now, in a completely different environment of being me, and putting years later, and it was interesting. I never experienced the countryside while educating, and I came here 5 years old. So, I didn't get much chance like that. But, I say this because it's relevant. Because my perception of Haiti. Ironically has been shaped by the media present it here in the United States.
So, whatever I saw on TV was really kind of shaped my perspective, and we've got it back home every summer during those 10 years. 5 years old in high school, I always stayed in the city. So, in a way I was always influenced by this really slim, like the green area. And that's what was I never thought I would be going back. You know, I'm back here, back with an ecology, what am I going to do. So, this trip I visited a certain region of eighty cold decay. And it just kind of confirmed my interest to go back home, and really see what I can do as a naturalist professional to help the environment. But also the people are very important in order to help the environment.
So, moving on back to how the media influenced me. So, here I am as an ecology major, finally going to define some positive images. And let me know, of course, if you look at positive articles, maybe there are these images that portray some sites in the region. And I will see that the top left picture is actually the last 2% of the forest current all is being mentioned in this article. It's called for editing of something. It's moving with the country, and the bottom two images kind of mimic what you'll probably see in most of the region, all very green. But, there are coordinates that are still really undeveloped. And therefore mix Dangles really green with images.
