Exercising time management requires--you guessed it--time. It appears a touch of an absurdity, does not it? To develop effective time allocation ability, you need to take more time out of your busy day that already contains more jobs than you have some time to do. But the investment of time used to plan your time will create more time open to you in the future. So if you are already beaten down by your to do list, and you end up making excuses not to do what you know must be done, then you want some incentive. You will be able to find that inducement in the Huge Benefit of resource management.
After putting your plan together start with all the main sections, including images and writing. Put each piece in place where they are supposed to be on a presentation and/or do the most important tasks first. If your project requires sequential progression, then make sure to plan for consistency. Remember, completing "most" of the task as quickly and as early as possible is key. Planners always believe they can put finishing touches on their projects at the last minute. This notion of over-confidence has been the ruin of many a great project because of the little things that get overlooked. So, editing your work is probably the second-most important task in executing a project excellently.
You may like the idea of managing your plan and life with a plan organizer but do not know where to start. One look at those endless printables begging you to fill them in and you may just throw up your hands in despair. Well do not. A plan Organizer is a wonderful tool to help you manage all aspects of your day, life and plan. But it involves getting comfortable with list making. Using lists is one of the most important tools for those working to manage their time. They keep you on task and remind you of items you might otherwise forget.
So, instead of 5 minutes for planning out your week or day, why not take a bit more quality time to the task? It is so simple to do. All you need is a printable calendar that can be found almost anywhere online. You might find that printing your calendar into a weekly calendar section works best for you. Then make a specific time everyday to sit down and work through your plans, appointments and tasks to do. Ingrain this good habit into your daily activity and you will find it pays dividends for years to come.
