Makayla Maudsley December 9, 2020 Planner
The best way to organize your calendars and planners is in a three-ring binder. You can buy dividers that already have the months of the year printed on them. Just file your monthly calendars in the binder with your planners in between. This is just the start. You can create sections in your binder for whatever you want. For instance, file your children`s school or sports schedules in your organizer. Just punch holes in the pages and file them in the appropriate month. You could also include a list of phone numbers and addresses, or a list of family birthdays and anniversaries.
You may like the idea of managing your plan and life with a plan organizer but do not know where to start. One look at those endless printables begging you to fill them in and you may just throw up your hands in despair. Well do not. A plan Organizer is a wonderful tool to help you manage all aspects of your day, life and plan. But it involves getting comfortable with list making. Using lists is one of the most important tools for those working to manage their time. They keep you on task and remind you of items you might otherwise forget.
Make sure you keep your organizer in a place where you can easily see it and get to it throughout your day. If you are going somewhere take it with you. I keep mine on the dining table. I work nearby so I just go over to it to get back on track. Build it slowly. Rome was not built in a day. Whether you have opted for a pre-made weekly planner, a binder you are filling in with templates or an electronic time management piece work on filling it in a little at a time. Set aside some time each day to prepare a section or a page. Spend no more than 30 minutes a day on it or you may get overwhelmed and tired. If you are working on your cleaning lists build them when you clean a room. That way you will know what cleaning details you will need to list. Do one room at a time.
Time is the self-proclaiming constant in any project. Resources, schedules, even requirements can change but no one can manipulate time. And, from my own experience I can attest that "rushing against time" never works. Time always wins that race! This is why "planning" is your trump card. Knowing and understanding your plan and everything you have to do at all times will give you the leverage you need to shift gears at any moment. Schedule your various tasks with enough time to comfortably finish each task properly and adequately. Your motto should be to "do it right the first time and forget it."
